I'm pretty sure there would be no sign of any bacteria.

Bacteria can become fossilized: Ancient Fossil Bacteria: Pictured above are two kinds cyanobacteria from the Bitter Springs chert of central Australia, a site dating to the Late Proterozoic, about 850 million years old. On the top is a colonial chroococcalean form, and below that is the filamentous Palaeolyngbya.

The amphibian with the flat boomerang head was called Diplocaulus.
Yeah, the Compy harassing Camille Belle at the start of TLW wasn't that perfect. The rod puppet looked very good when it hopped forward but some of the movements could have been more alive. One good example is when it snatches the piece of offered turkey and eats it, there is no movement at all in the jaws to imply that it's actually eating even when we hear the sound of it chewing. The parts here and during Dieter's last scene aren't totally convincing because of a certain flaws in the reciprocity between puppet and 3D model. I kinda dig the idea for the cloth rig to attach the rubber Compies to though. That would make a great Halloween prank.
