I've never been a big fan of the original Godzilla movies, but I did kinda get 'into' the Roland Emmerich's movie quite a bit! It does have a lot of silly and over-the-top moments, but I still enjoyed it while it lasted. I only wish a good model kit had been brought out on the market of this Godzilla version.
Please feel free to comment on the film. Here's a trailer:

Did you hear that they are thinking about making another "American" Godzilla? It was on the Aint it cool news website a few weeks ago.

That would be cool. I'd be interested to see another one of these films. I'm assuming it'll just continue on from the other one? I remember the scene at the end showing a surviving egg or two.

Has anyone seen a good model kit of the American Godzilla available? To date, this creature design is the most believeable. I never liked the Japanese ones standing upright with the tail dragging across the ground like that. It reminds me of all the old T-rex illustrations before paleotologists realised it would hold its tail high in the air to counter-balance its torso and head.

that's becasue Godzilla was created before paleontologists found that out. I once had an action figure of it. It was really detailed, I mean really. and it was as posable as regular dinosaur toys. but it's leg broke...
