What abut the name "Triassic Island" i think triassic is way to close to jurassic. and island would only work if it was on a island

It's very unlikely to be an island, but would be nice if it was. The land I'll be using just for the 'mock-up' paddocks will probably be just a few acres, and altered for the different dinosaurs so it looks like more than one paddock. These videos will be made for the website as examples of what the park is to be and will hopefully go up on Youtube at some point.
Some of the species high on my list are Parasaurolophus, Corythosaur, Raptors, Gallimimus, Compy, Pteranodon, Triceratops, Brachiosaur and T-rex. The Brachiosaurs would probably just be the top half of the neck and head (like the movie treetop scene). The Pteranodons won't be flying, but perched on a (fake) cliff face.

Prehistoric Reserve it is then. Have you checked the making of WWD(stage version)? They basically use a pulley system with their pneumatics that allows a natural return to a neutral pose once the robot stops moving. Looks smooth and convincing. You really could utilize something similar for great effect. For more info on the creators, here's a link that's useful: www.creaturetechnology.com/

But, "one guy from his house" may turn to a factory one day, better than Creature Tech., but only if he makes the right choices and gets a goode education. (He would be as old as John Hammond by that time though (Only Joking!))

sure could if they didnt have the need for a job and could do it full time but not as a hobby. doing something like that as a hobby wouldnt lead to a successful park anytime soon. Jurassic park was build by a huge company not my one guy.

So far I'm collecting and sculpting full figures of the Jurassic Park dinosaurs (as well as doing some of my own designs) to use as a reference in creating 1/1 scale models. I will be going self-employed by Christmas and doing sculpting and dinosaur work full time as well as starting some animatronic work of my own. The website 'Prehistoric Reserve' will go online by Christmas too and all videos of my animatronics will be available there to view. I will also do a new forum for the site nearer the time, but if any of you guys can help with forum graphic suggestions I may be able to get it online by this weekend. The sooner the forum's going the better! I have quite a few original JP maquettes and models available to me, so this is a good starting point with my life-size stuff for reference and pattern making. Regarding the park itself... I would like to make the enclosures a believeable size to make it all seem more real, but may be necessary to mix certain species together to get more out of the space available and create natural looking habitats. I'm sure dinosaurs lived together back in the old days, so a paddock containing several species of say... Hadrosaurs might be a good idea? I won't be looking to 'hire' land yet for the testing of my animatronics until I've made some and am totally happy with their performance within an indoor environment. Making many of them totally waterproof will be a challange and I would be interested in knowing what current theme parks do with their animatronics (such as JP: The Ride) during winter? They have a Parasaur in water and several others outdoors, so I can only assume these are stored inside when out of season?

The Jp ride and river adventure cannot store their animatronic dinosaurs they cannot revove an 2 ton animatronic ultrasarus/brachiosarus and then put it up agian for the spring . also another thing is that Florida and California dont have the four seasons . Another thing bolth universal orlando florida, and universal hollywood are open year-round ;D

Yes Sir our great state of florida is sunny year round no snow and little cold. one of the main reasons Disney built here that and land. parks up north do close down though
