I did notice some of the animatronic Compies did seem kinda stiff in the film, and the arms especially seemed to have no movement at all in some of the scenes. So, let's list the types of Compy like dinosaurs from all periods and what they ate? Go...go... ;D

insects and meat. they don't hunt though. and the reason they didn't move there hands was because they thought it wouldn't be that important.

It still looked quite noticeable though after seeing the film a couple of times.
I thought these little critters would have hunted flies, lizards, frogs etc.. in life?

they probably hunted lizards and flies.. maybe frogs, not sure if there were any back then. they probably hunted rodents as well.
