The 'thing' around its neck is a frill.

Was the dilophosaur the mystery model, or was it the baby t-rex lik I guessed. The styracosaurus is in the JP novel, so it does belong in JP art.

It's only mentioned in the species list, the one that ray arnold showed on the computer, and no it doesn't appear in the book at all.

This week was a great week, three models, adult Dilophosaure, juvenile Dilophosaure and Corythosaure models ready. I'm still working on the apatosaure and Pteranodon models and should start a Gallimimus model soon ^,^ Here is two renders with all my models, as you can see it just missed the baby raptor ( too small). So much species now guys By giu3232 at 2010-10-12 By giu3232 at 2010-10-12

I thought you already have a gallimimus. And, I thought your adult dilophosaur was a baryonyx at first. (I didn't see the crests) Speaking of crests, the corythosaurus looks a bit funny on the back. You should check a few JP photos. By apatosaur, do you mean mamenchisaurus, they were both in the films though; but it is your descision.

It will be an apatosaurus for sure, with an old school posture. I mean the neck rised but witout tail on the ground. A bit like Peter jackson's king kong. In JPIII corythosaur and parasaurolopus are the exact same models ( look the turnables) only the arms where moved to make them differents and the head is not the same of course. I wanted my models more different than that so I made a lot of changes between the two. Adult and juvenile spitter are the same. The adult is just more massive ( neck, legs, tail) and has some differences on the head.

By that, do you mean a squarish-looking head?

Most of all the models are from scan data, this give me better results, that helps me to make them 100 % JP like. The baby triceratops for exemple was made from scratch (without scan) and the Dilophosaur ( adult and juvenile) was scanned in very low quality, just to get the basics shape. Look: By giu3232 at 2010-10-16 All the little and medium details were made in Mudbox, only the general shape of the beast was scanned. Here is an Apatosaurus model, made from scratch, you can see the very low poly model I made in 3dsmax, the mudbox enhancement, and the final result with textures. By giu3232 at 2010-10-16 My next models will be a Gallimimus model and a Spinosaurus model ( from maquettes this time) and I hope finally the Stegosaur model from Supersaurus.
