I still feel that the first JP movie is the best so far. Hopefully if the 4th one ever comes out, it would have been worth waiting for as it's already been almost 8 years (double the length of time between the others).
I guess the best thing to bank on is the new dinosaurs rather then the plot, and that's something I'm really looking forward to seeing! ;D
Does anyone yet have any good solid information on the dinosaurs, plot etc... of JP4?

There is nothing solid as of yet. We don't know about the story, about the dinosaurs (although it'll probably be the same that we know of) or anything else. Right now, they're apparently not even working on it, which is dissapointing.
All of the Jurassic Park IV news you need to know is available at:

That's a shame. I really thought they were working on it. How much money did JP3 make? I didn't like that one as much as the others, but if it did well enough, then surely another will be made at some point? After all, film making is a business.
I've been looking forward to a fourth movie for so long now. I just hope it will be worth the wait. It wouldn't be quite the same without the old team.

For me, JP3 was a big let down. I remember the first time I saw Jurassic Park at the cinema! It was the first movie that literally had me on the edge of my seat, and I loved every minute of it! So much so, that I went to see it 3 times before buying it first on video, then dvd!
The Lost World I enjoyed a lot too, and even though I was kinda used to the new effects then, it was still great to see the new dinosaurs and action scenes! I walked out of the cinema feeling quite happy. ;D
JP3, hmmm... the hype and trailers presented me with gorgeous looking scenes of the island and blue sea around it, and with Grant being back, I thought it was going to be another mind blowing film! Alas...it seemed mainly about finding some kid and a family reunion, which, personally isn't the kind of thing I care for in a dinosaur picture like Jurassic park!
Secondly, it was only 1 1/2 hours long! And what was with the idiotic scene of the army turning up on the beach the way they did? It just seemed a silly moment to me. I remember feeling a little bored at one point in the movie (which never ever happened once in the first two), and when it was over, I walked out of the cinema feeling somewhat p''''''' off! Not a good thing.
I did like the new dinosaurs, such as the Spino and Pteranodons, but I thought the new look of the Brachiosaurs looked bad. I didn't like their shape at all, I wished they'd stuck with the original design as that was excellent!
