I just spoke with someone in the movie industry about JP4, and he didn't say anything that hinted it's in production. I asked if the passing of Stan Winston or Michael Crichton had anything to do with its delay, and was told that had nothing to do with it...only that Universal either doesn't have a decent script yet or just doesn't want to do it.

i bet you that universal wants to do it but are just having delays and set backs, jp is selling real good its one of the top selling trillogies. Theres no reason to belive that universal wouldnt want to make even more money off of jp than what theyre already making

Yes and I still am. BrachioInGen is also doing his novel adaptation of another instalment which I personally want to read when it's ready. He also asked for some of us to do voice acting for a recorded version.

Non-commercially mostly. There is another toyline coming next year too so it's not all over in terms of the Universal franchise either.

Joe Johnston Talks Jurassic Park 4 Source:Ain't It Cool News November 6, 2009
Ain't It Cool News got a chance to talk to The Wolfman director Joe Johnston and the interview briefly turned to the possibility of a Jurassic Park 4. Johnston directed the third film in the franchise, which was released in 2001.
"There is a great story for the fourth one that I would be interested in getting involved with and it's nothing like the first three," Johnston told the site, "It sort of takes the franchise off in a completely different direction, which is the only way I would want to get involved."
He added that it likely won't be another storyline about a group of people struggling to survive a dinosaur attack. "We've done that and it's been done three times..."
The site commented that they should stay away from an island setting this time. "Why would anybody go back to that island?" Johnston said. "It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go, but it would take it off in a whole other trilogy basically, but when it gets to that level it's sort of about studios and Steven [Spielberg's] thing and who knows. I think we are at that point where we are due for another one if we are going to do it."
Universal Pictures has not targeted a release date for a fourth film.

thanks. and then you can have more super predators in the island, since some people think having more than a T-rex and Spino would be to many dinos. Wouldn't that destroy the dinosaurs? And about the Jp3, That was the 1st movie I saw, and when I saw the original movie, it was a BIG improvement!
