From what I understand about Compsognathus and coelophysis, is that they were scavengers and hunters of small insects and lizards. However, In JP2 they're shown hunting a man? In JP3 they're snapping at flying bugs, which does seem about right.
Is there actually any scientific evidence/belief that Compies went for much larger prey in groups or was this just for the movie?

The compy's were supposed to be like vultures, eating scraps from leftover kills. Like vultures or hyenas they would probably stalk their prey from a distance if its injured and wait for an opening to go in for the kill. Its obvious that the guy was injured after the fall. Had he faced they and made himself look scary instead of fleeting from him he might have had a chance. However if a nice big dragonfly flew by, whynot.

I believe it was Coelophysis that lived during the Triassic period, but when did the Compies live? Aren't they a different species altogether? There must be quite a lot of different dinosaur types of these little critters.
